About the role#
Sunflower Electric Power Corporation is hiring for a Transmission Technical Services Intern during the Summer 2027 term. This position offers a mix of office work and field time in an electric utility setting. What you'll do#
- Collect and organize electrical and mechanical data.
- Support preliminary design reviews.
- Participate in field inspections at energized substations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in engineering technology, industrial technology, geographic information systems, or a related field.
- Successful completion of the Edison Electric Institute Technician Occupation Selection System test.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in either Great Bend, Kansas, or Hays, Kansas.
