About the role#
SXSW is hiring a Marketing Intern to assist with paid advertising campaigns and communication efforts for the SXSW EDU and SXSW Conferences and Festivals. This role supports the marketing team in reaching creative audiences and managing project alignment across different departments.
What you'll do#
- Assist with paid marketing campaigns across platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Google.
- Manage communication with potential partners and content creators.
- Work with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track.
- Help with the production and onsite execution of marketing operations during events.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university or college for the duration of the internship.
- Current residency in Texas.
- Proficiency in G-Suite tools such as Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and key marketing metrics like CTR, CPA, and ROI.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and handle occasional physical tasks like bending or reaching.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in environments with varying noise levels.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Austin, Texas, and requires on-site work.
- The internship runs from October 2026 through March 2027.
- The schedule is a maximum of 16 hours per week, with potential for 40 hours during the event.
- Business hours are Monday through Friday, 10am to 6pm CT.
- This is a paid position at $12.00 per hour.
