About the role#
As a Multimedia development intern at Tencent, you will join our team to work on video technologies and applications. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Palo Alto, California. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to our research and development efforts while collaborating with our engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop video technologies and applications.
- Explore techniques for image and video compression.
- Create innovative products and services.
- Improve the quality of multimedia content.
- Work closely with other researchers and engineers.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience or coursework in image or video compression and image processing.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
- The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team.
- A creative approach to problem solving.

- Location: Palo Alto, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $28.27 to $60.00 per hour.
- Benefits: This position includes paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays, and eligibility for company-sponsored medical plans for full-time interns.
