    About the role#

    The World Bank Treasury internship provides undergraduate and postgraduate students with experience in global development finance. You will work full-time for ten weeks in Washington, DC. The program includes an onboarding week followed by rotations through three different Treasury teams. Each intern is paired with a mentor and coordinator to provide guidance during their time in each department.

    What you'll do#

    • Rotate through three different Treasury teams in three-week intervals.
    • Conduct asset and liability management for IBRD, IDA, and IFC balance sheets.
    • Collaborate with member countries to help build financial market capacity.
    • Engage in weekly discussions with the program director.
    • Attend technical and career-focused sessions with Treasury officers and managers.
    • Present a capstone project to the Treasury management team at the end of the summer.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or postgraduate student.
    • Interest in global development.
    • Academic background in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.

    • Term: Summer 2027 (June 1st through August 9th).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • This is a paid, full-time internship.
