About the role#
The Claim Professional Development Program Intern role provides an opportunity to gain business experience within the insurance industry. You will work with a manager or mentor to build your knowledge of claims handling and participate in meaningful project work. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Investigate, negotiate, and resolve claims of basic to moderate complexity.
- Determine coverage, scope losses, and complete damage estimates.
- Observe the daily work of Claim Professionals through desk and ride-alongs.
- Use verbal and written communication skills to help customers through the claim process.
- Develop foundational skills in customer service, analytics, and problem-solving.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a degree program.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Academic background in Business Administration or a related discipline.
