About the role#
Trojan Battery Company is looking for a Logistics Intern to support our transportation, supply chain, and international trade activities. You will work directly with the Director of Logistics to gain hands-on experience with domestic and international shipping, freight management, and customs documentation. This is a paid, remote internship.
What you'll do#
- Track domestic and international shipments.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Review shipping documents for accuracy and maintain logistics records.
- Assist with freight reporting and transportation metrics using Excel.
- Support freight invoice review and issue resolution.
- Help with import and export documentation, such as commercial invoices and customs paperwork.
- Learn basic HTS classifications and trade compliance requirements.
- Support customs brokers and internal teams with documentation requests.
- Assist with trade compliance projects, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a degree program in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous internship or logistics experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote within the United States.
- The role is a 6-month internship requiring 25 hours per week.
- You will maintain a flexible schedule during Monday through Friday daytime business hours.
