    About the role#

    Trustmark is hiring an Actuarial Intern for a 10-week summer program. You will work within the Small Business Benefits and Voluntary Benefits departments, gaining experience in pricing, experience analysis, and financial reporting. This is a full-time, paid position.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare actuarial reports under the guidance of an actuary.
    • Run programs in Excel to collect and summarize data for various studies.
    • Assist with the analysis of products and help with forecasting.
    • Participate in both individual and group projects.
    • Assist in the review and examination of annual and quarterly statements.

    What you'll need#

    • Successful completion of at least one Society of Actuaries exam.
    • A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, with graduation expected in the winter or spring/summer following the internship.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
    • Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Lake Forest, Illinois.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 13).
    • Work Modality: Hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote.
    • Compensation: $19.36 - $27.97 per hour.
    • Housing: Provided for interns living more than 30 miles from the office.
    • Note: This position does not offer sponsorship.
