About the role#
This 10-week paid internship provides accelerated learning and skill development within our Business Banking division. You will build core sales and credit skills through on-the-job training, mentorship, and a community of peers. This role is full-time, requiring approximately 40 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Prospect new client relationships and deepen existing ones using a consultative approach to solve client needs.
- Work on business banking projects that directly impact the business.
- Develop technical and business acumen through training, mentorship, and exposure to senior executives.
- Build a supportive community through cohort activities, including social events, volunteer days, and development workshops.
- Contribute to the communities where we live and work.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a similar major.
- Target graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Ability to start the program on June 7, 2027.
- Basic understanding of banking terms and concepts through relevant coursework or projects.
- Customer service experience or a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplined team.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience or exposure to small businesses or business owners.
- Reliable transportation to meet with clients within a 30-mile radius.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, requiring presence at a U.S. Bank location at least three days per week.
- Term: Summer 2027.
