    About the role#

    This internship provides students the opportunity to work within the Supply Chain business group at Union Pacific. You will gain insight into the transportation industry while performing tasks equivalent to an entry-level analyst position. Placements are available within our Procurement & Performance team or Supply Operations based on your skills and preferences. This is a rolling internship where you will work 15-25 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn and perform core department business group tasks and processes.
    • Analyze data and address customer inquiries.
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including vendors and contractors.
    • Develop and execute project action plans.
    • Assist with project management for various company initiatives.
    • Offer operational support for department managers.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be a full-time student with at least one year of undergraduate credits completed.
    • Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • Solid understanding of basic Supply Chain concepts and processes.
    • Ability to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    • Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $21 - $25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
