About the role#
As an Intern Diesel Mechanic, you will gain hands-on experience with the equipment United Rentals offers. This role supports our branch operations and provides a pathway toward future service technician positions once you complete your degree or certification. You will work alongside experienced mechanics to learn maintenance tasks and equipment applications.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the various types of equipment rented by United Rentals.
- Assist seasoned mechanics with manual and maintenance tasks.
- Provide labor assistance to support daily branch operations.
- Deliver exceptional service to our customers.
- Work toward a service technician role upon graduation or certification.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a technical degree or certification program.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
