About the role#
The Creative Team at the Department of Industrial Relations is looking for a Student Assistant to help produce visual content and manage social media platforms. You will work with a team of professionals to support the department mission through digital storytelling and outreach.
What you'll do#
- Create social media graphics, promotional materials, and digital content using department brand templates.
- Draft captions and supporting copy for various social media platforms.
- Assist with short-form video production, including filming, basic editing, and captioning.
- Maintain monthly content calendars and track planned campaigns.
- Monitor and track social media performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and audience growth.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Adobe Express.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- You must submit a portfolio or samples of your work with your application.
- Preferred majors include Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.

- Work is performed on-site.
