    About the role#

    The Hoxworth Transplantation Immunology Laboratory is looking for a Student Associate to join their team. This role is based in a histocompatibility and immunogenetics testing laboratory where you will work with blood products. You will support laboratory operations through a mix of administrative tasks and technical assistance.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage laboratory supplies, including ordering and stocking items.
    • Unpack and organize incoming sample tests.
    • Perform sample aliquoting.
    • File requisitions and handle phone inquiries.
    • Complete mandatory training, such as HIPAA, IT security, safety, and GMP protocols.
    • Follow all laboratory policies and standard operating procedures.

    What you'll need#

    • A High School Diploma or GED.
    • Current enrollment at a secondary or post-secondary institution.
    • You must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Completed coursework in a biology or chemistry lab.
    • Experience with pipetting.
    • Knowledge of biohazards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work while standing for extended periods.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Cincinnati, Ohio.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, typically between Monday and Friday, 7am to 6pm. Flexibility is available to accommodate your class schedule.
    • Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
