About the role#
This position serves as a Student and Faculty Support Specialist within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. You will manage daily operations for the Honors Program, Office of Undergraduate Research, and the HSS Advising Center. The role requires balancing multiple projects while supporting student recruitment and retention efforts. You will work alongside faculty and staff to create an engaging experience for prospective and current students.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate recruitment initiatives and represent the college at campus-wide Admissions events.
- Manage logistics for meetings between faculty and prospective students.
- Hire, train, and supervise undergraduate student staff members.
- Maintain academic advisor and faculty mentor assignments in the Banner system.
- Oversee shared inboxes and phone lines for HSS Advising and Honors.
- Create digital resources and communications to support student success and event promotion.
- Assist with administrative tasks including budget management, event assessments, and data reporting.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or three years of equivalent work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with students from historically marginalized identities.
- The ability to provide verbal support in Spanish is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Greeley, Colorado.
- The role is full-time.
- Work modality is on-site with the possibility of one day of remote work per week after a three-month training period.
- Occasional night and weekend work is required for recruitment events and programming.
