About the role#
The Actuarial Science Internship at Venerable offers exposure to the Investments, Derivatives, and Risk Operations department. You will gain insight into asset and derivative operations, derivative controls, investment data strategy, and vendor risk management during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Support general account and separate account-related operational activities.
- Partner with external providers to operationally support assets and derivatives.
- Assist with investment data and market data initiatives across Risk and Finance.
- Aid with ongoing investment data management efforts, including database maintenance and data integrity.
- Develop presentations or memorandums to summarize analysis and results for internal and external audiences.
What you'll need#
- Solid mathematical and technical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Enrollment in a degree program for Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or Actuarial Science.
Location & details#
- This role is based in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
- The work schedule is hybrid, requiring three days in the office and two days working from home.
- This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
