About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to assist the mechanical engineering team with design activities for liquid cooling systems. You will gain exposure to modeling standards and product lifecycle management workflows while supporting new product development. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Work within engineering teams to create conceptual and detailed designs for thermal systems.
- Develop designs that meet quality and budget requirements.
- Create bills of materials, change orders, CAD layouts, and component detail drawings.
- Conduct simple CFD and FEA analysis.
- Participate in test design and data reduction for thermal products.
- Review mechanical product specifications and source components with business units and vendors.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD modeling software such as Solidworks, Solid Edge, or CREO.
- Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis, flow modeling, or system dynamics software like ANSYS, Matlab, or Simulink.
- Ability to research new designs, technologies, and methods.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
