About the role#
This Mechanical Engineering Co-op position is designed to build leadership talent within the organization. You will work on-site in Rochester, New York, as part of a full-time, paid program. What you'll do#
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods and operation sequences for the manufacture of parts, components, and final assemblies.
- Coordinate with design engineering teams to support the release of new products.
- Estimate manufacturing costs and establish time standards.
- Provide recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
- Maintain records and reporting systems to coordinate manufacturing operations.
- Assist with automated systems and New Product Introduction projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Proven leadership experience in areas such as student organizations, athletics, military service, or community volunteer work.
- A history of influencing others, driving results, and creating positive impact within teams.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems.
- Strong learning agility and an innovative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence.
- Previous related internship or work experience is preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
