    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Intern at Stanley Black & Decker, you will gain hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment. This paid, part-time internship typically lasts 10 to 12 weeks. You will work on-site in Mission, Texas, observing daily operations and supporting engineering projects. This role offers insight into the manufacturing of power tools and provides exposure to plant operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Observe day-to-day manufacturing processes, equipment, and facility systems.
    • Assist with basic engineering calculations, data collection, and analysis.
    • Support troubleshooting activities for mechanical systems, manufacturing equipment, and facility utilities.
    • Prepare and update inventory reports and related data.
    • Support the creation and revision of work instructions and standard procedures.
    • Provide support on the shop floor, including collecting samples and monitoring production runs.
    • Request and track resins and other materials needed for production.
    • Update and maintain production run information.
    • Verify material usage on the shop floor.
    • Organize and maintain department documents and records.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a four-year college or university with Junior or Senior standing.
    • Pursuing a degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
