About the role#
This internship is a 10-week summer position based in Bohemia, New York. We view this program as a pipeline for future leadership talent. High-performing interns may be considered for full-time roles or leadership development programs after graduation. You will work on-site, as physical presence is required for this role.
What you'll do#
- Support site-wide EHS activities, including routine inspections, observations, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with hazard assessments, corrective action follow-up, and safety improvement initiatives.
- Help with incident investigations by gathering information, documenting findings, and assisting with root cause analysis.
- Maintain EHS records, training materials, and site procedures.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to support workplace safety and continuous improvement.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
- Your expected graduation date is between December 2027 and June 2028.
- You have at least one year of previous related internship or work experience.
- You demonstrate leadership through student organizations, athletics, community service, or similar roles.
- You have a track record of influencing others, solving complex problems, and adapting to changing priorities.
- You possess strong learning agility and interpersonal communication skills.
- You are legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
- You are willing to be geographically mobile and flexible for future career opportunities.
