About the role#
This internship offers veterinary students the chance to gain practical experience in a clinical setting. You will work under the supervision of a mentor who oversees your technical development and helps you follow a structured learning plan. This program helps you transition from university studies to professional practice.
What you'll do#
- Build technical and practical skills required for clinical practice.
- Gain hands-on experience in animal handling and clinical procedures.
- Interact with clients and collaborate with veterinary team members.
- Receive a certificate of completion at the end of your placement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the third, fourth, or fifth year of an accredited veterinary medicine program.
- Availability for a duration between one and three weeks.

- Location: Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: On-site.
- Duration: 1 to 3 weeks on a rolling basis.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
- Note: Students are responsible for their own housing and expenses, though free housing is available at 11 specific hospital locations.
