    About the role#

    The Partnerships & Civic Health Intern acts as a bridge between the Latino Medical Student Association and Vot-ER. You will support our efforts to grow relationships with health institutions nationwide. This role focuses on deepening existing ties, onboarding new partners, and managing the Emergency Patient Voting program. You will work 15 to 20 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the Deputy Director of Partnerships by maintaining regular communication with current partners.
    • Identify and contact new health-related organizations to grow our national presence.
    • Create and carry out mobilization plans for Civic Holidays.
    • Train health professional students to help patients access voting during unexpected hospital stays.
    • Design educational materials and bedside toolkits to assist with emergency ballot requests.

    What you'll need#

    • Active membership in the Latino Medical Student Association.
    • Documentation from your school confirming you will receive academic credit for this internship.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
    • A commitment to racial equity and inclusion.
    • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

    Location & details#

    • This is a remote, unpaid internship for academic credit.
    • The term covers Summer and Fall 2026.
