About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Summer Intern for our Taylor, Michigan office. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site to assist our teams in improving infrastructure projects across the country.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers with the development of spreadsheet tools.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Copy and scan project-related documents.
- Collaborate with the Planning, Design (structural), and Hydraulic and Hydrology departments.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineering staff.
- Communicate with clients while maintaining excellent relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Freshman or sophomore status is preferred, though other engineering degrees will be considered.
- You hold a valid driver’s license.
- You are familiar with Microsoft Office software.
- You are self-motivated and work well with others.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
