About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Summer Intern for the Water Resources group in Tampa. This is a full-time, paid position for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site and collaborate with various departments, including Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology teams.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Assist engineers in developing spreadsheet tools.
- Copy and scan project-related drawings.
- Communicate with engineering staff and clients while maintaining professional relationships.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering. Freshman or sophomore status is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work with project managers and follow direction.
- Knowledge of GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is a plus.
