About the role#
Wesley Willows is hiring an IT Intern to support our staff and residents in Rockford, Illinois. This is a part-time, paid internship that offers hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment. We accept applications on a rolling basis and offer flexible day and afternoon hours to accommodate your school schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level technical support for computers, tablets, and smartphones, including assistance with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Diagnose Wi-Fi connectivity issues and assist with wireless network testing.
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, and peripherals, including basic maintenance like toner replacement.
- Set up and troubleshoot smart TVs, streaming devices, and various IoT devices.
- Assist with equipment deployment, asset inventory, and workstation setups.
- Explain technical concepts to non-technical users and escalate complex issues when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or certification program for Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to learn new technologies quickly and work both independently and on a team.
