    About the role#

    This is a full-time, paid internship with the West Michigan Whitecaps. You will gain hands-on experience in the sports business industry through a comprehensive training and job shadow program. The role spans the Winter, Spring, and Summer 2027 terms.

    What you'll do#

    Your primary focus is ticket sales and operations. You will manage the Reading Club Program, Kids Club, and birthday packages while learning the group and individual game sales process. You will also gain box office experience and assist with Guest Services initiatives.

    Beyond sales, you will help coordinate and staff baseball picnic areas at the ballpark. You will also assist with general facility tasks, including field maintenance like tarping the field, and gain exposure to other departments within the organization.

    What you'll need#

    • Junior or Senior standing at a college or university.
    • Within 3 semesters of graduation.
    • Pursuing a degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or Sports Management.
    • Ability to receive academic credit for the internship.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Full-time availability from January 15 through August, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Location & details#

    This position is located on-site in Comstock Park, Michigan. Work hours vary based on the schedule, with non-event days typically running Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On event days, the workday begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes after the event.
