About the role#
This internship program lasts 10 to 12 weeks during the summer of 2027. You will work on active projects within the liability modeling team at our Norwalk office. The position offers exposure to senior leadership, community outreach, and mentorship as you apply your academic knowledge to professional tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support the liability modeling team with AXIS model runs.
- Help reconcile liability data following model changes.
- Learn about AXIS model updates and conduct investigations into results.
- Compare and analyze model outcomes.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior at a 4-year university.
- You are pursuing a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- You have strong technical skills, specifically in Excel.
- Knowledge of SQL or other programming languages is a plus.
- You are familiar with Microsoft tools like Outlook, Teams, Access, and CoPilot.
- You have authorization to work in the U.S.
- You possess strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
- You are collaborative, adaptable, and maintain a positive attitude.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Norwalk, Connecticut.
- The schedule is full-time from the beginning of June to mid-August.
- The work format is hybrid, with 3 days in-person and 2 days working from home.
- This is a paid internship.
