About the role#
The Actuarial Intern supports the Actuarial division by helping meet daily objectives. You will gain experience in the insurance industry through the planning, execution, and evaluation of various projects. This is a paid, full-time summer internship for 2026.
What you'll do#
- Perform work related to life insurance and annuity Product Development, Inforce Management, or Valuation.
- Assist with a variety of actuarial functions.
- Meet weekly with the Internship Cohort and division-level leaders.
- Summarize and present a capstone project detailing your accomplishments and key learnings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore, junior, or senior in college studying Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Progress toward ASA certification with at least one SOA exam completed.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- This role is based on-site at the WoodmenLife Home Office in Omaha, Nebraska.
- This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
