About the role#
World Vision is looking for an intern to support our United Nations Policy and Advocacy team in New York. This role focuses on influencing policies that support vulnerable children, specifically regarding child well-being, nutrition, and development financing. You will gain experience in multilateral affairs by engaging directly with UN bodies and collaborating with peer NGOs.
What you'll do#
- Monitor the schedules of the United Nations Security Council and General Assembly to track meetings and votes relevant to our humanitarian efforts.
- Stay current on developments within your assigned portfolio and provide updates to the team.
- Draft briefings, position papers, and other materials for internal use and external agency working groups.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings and events.
- Maintain communication with peer NGOs and UN agencies to support our advocacy goals.
What you'll need#
- Current student or recent graduate within the last two years in Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States and a valid U.S. Social Security Number.
- Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week.
- Strong research, organizational, and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Commitment to the mission of World Vision and adherence to the Christian Statement of Faith.
- Willingness to use your own electronic devices and allow the installation of endpoint security software.

- This is an on-site internship based in New York, New York.
- The term runs from January 25, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
- This position is paid via a monthly stipend of $800.
