    About the role#

    The Humanitarian Operations team is seeking an intern to support a joint evidence and learning agenda. You will work with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) and Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) teams to analyze research, program insights, and operational data. This role focuses on identifying patterns and trends to improve outcomes for children and communities affected by crises.

    What you'll do#

    • Review and synthesize research studies, evaluations, assessments, and program learning.
    • Organize evidence around priority learning questions and identify gaps in existing knowledge.
    • Support the development of learning products such as evidence summaries, briefing notes, and presentations.
    • Review program and response data to identify emerging issues and learning opportunities.
    • Examine evidence related to child protection outcomes and the integration of protection across humanitarian programming.
    • Translate technical information into accessible outputs like dashboards and data visualizations.
    • Organize datasets and learning resources to improve accessibility for humanitarian teams.

    What you'll need#

    • Current student or recent graduate (within 2 years) of an undergraduate or graduate program.
    • At least 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States and a valid Social Security Number.
    • Strong ability to work with both qualitative and quantitative information.
    • Proficiency in Excel and strong writing skills.
    • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
    • Demonstrated interest in evidence-to-action application and enthusiasm for humanitarian programming.
    • Commitment to the goals, mission, and vision of World Vision.
    • Ability to adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
    • Willingness to use your own electronic devices and allow the installation of endpoint security software.
    • Ability to commit to at least 20 hours per week.

    Location & details#

    • This is a remote role for candidates physically located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.
    • The internship term runs from January 25, 2027, to April 23, 2027.
    • This position provides a monthly stipend of $800.
