About the role#
WS Development is seeking a marketing intern to join the Hyde Park Village field team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside the General Manager and Marketing Manager to learn about mixed-use real estate development, with a specific focus on event management and marketing. This is a paid, on-site position requiring 15 to 20 hours per week, including some weekends.
What you'll do#
- Plan and run community and retail events while collaborating with local partners and non-profit organizations.
- Manage the website, email programs, and social media channels like Instagram.
- Communicate marketing activities to retail partners and support on-site programming requests.
- Seek out new opportunities for collaboration within the Hyde Park Village community.
- Handle administrative duties such as conducting marketing research, tracking event attendance, drafting meeting agendas, and preparing marketing materials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Marketing, Business Administration, or related degree program.
- An interest in retail, event planning, and social media.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook.
- Experience with tools like Iconosquare, Canva, Wordpress, or Klaviyo is helpful but not required.
