About the role#
Yazaki is seeking a Co-Op to join the Purchasing team in Canton, Michigan. This role offers practical experience and direct exposure to industry experts within the motor vehicle manufacturing sector. You will work on-site for an average of 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Assist buyers with data analytics tasks.
- Update and improve existing Excel templates.
- Help the sub-assembly team categorize and track cable components to support cost engineering.
- Maintain departmental records for cost savings ideas.
- Provide updates to buyers regarding performance against planned targets.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution.
- Pursuit of a bachelor or master degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of two semesters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
