About the role#
YHB is hiring interns for our Audit Team for an 8-week summer program in 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will gain hands-on experience with real client audits while working in a supportive environment. Throughout the program, you will receive mentorship from experienced professionals and exposure to a variety of industries.
What you'll do#
- Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
- Shadow Audit and Assurance professionals of all levels.
- Participate in client meetings alongside YHB managers.
- Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
- Help draft management letter comments and the audit report.
- Collaborate with other interns on a group project to be presented at the end of the program.
- Build professional relationships with accounting staff.
What you'll need#
- Completed coursework in Intermediate Accounting 1 and 2.
- A basic understanding of auditing principles and practices.
- Effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail.
