About the role#
As an intern with the internal Information Technology team, you will work on projects at the intersection of technology, data, business processes, and people. This role goes beyond traditional IT support. You will analyze information, improve workflows, support business systems, and develop resources for employees. You will work with teams across IT and Finance, gaining exposure to both the technical and business sides of how technology is used in an organization.
What you'll do#
- Clean, organize, validate, and analyze information from business systems.
- Create reports, dashboards, metrics, and tools to make information easier to use.
- Summarize findings and translate data into practical recommendations.
- Review and document existing processes to identify manual or inefficient steps.
- Explore ways to simplify or automate workflows.
- Assist with system implementations, enhancements, testing, and data-cleanup projects.
- Research solutions and evaluate technology for business process improvement.
- Support technology rollouts, system migrations, and cross-functional projects.
- Coordinate project information, documentation, and follow-up activities.
- Develop procedures, user guides, and training materials.
- Turn complex information into clear communications.
- Assist with the maintenance of technology records, including inventories and system data.
- Support laptop configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Perform quality checks on technology and information.
What you'll need#
- Current student pursuing a degree in information technology, management information systems, data or business analytics, business, computer science, project management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort working with Microsoft Excel.
- Interest in data, reporting, technology, and process improvement.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with datasets.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity about how technology and data make an organization effective.
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, scripting, automation tools, project management tools, or IT administration is preferred but not required.
