About the role#
Young Life is seeking interns for a long-term role in youth ministry at a military installation in California. You will work alongside experienced staff to serve military teens, lead Club Beyond programs, and build a supportive community. This position focuses on relational ministry and requires living near the community where you serve.
What you'll do#
- Lead and conduct Club Beyond club and small group ministry with a team.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Recruit and train new volunteer leaders while building a leadership team.
- Meet weekly with supervising staff and individual volunteers to discuss ministry goals.
- Assist with community outreach and equip others for youth ministry.
- Raise financial support and maintain communication with personal donor partners.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and volunteer leader meetings.
- Serve as a consistent role model for teens in the military community.
What you'll need#
- A deep love for Christ and a heart for teens.
- Graduation from high school at least 2 years prior.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Energy and experience with small event planning.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Willingness to raise part of the budget through personal support.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Psychology, Sociology, or Philosophy.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship. Participants are responsible for raising their own financial support between $1,160 and $4,000 depending on the specific location and duration.
