About the role#
Young Life Military offers an internship for individuals interested in youth ministry at military installations. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to support Club Beyond, an ecumenical and outreach-focused program. This role involves direct ministry, leadership development, and community engagement within a military culture.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and progress.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond clubs and small group sessions.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to focus on your spiritual development.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to support their involvement in the ministry.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Develop outreach strategies to connect with unchurched teens.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss financial support and fundraising with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong communication skills and a teachable heart.
- Initiative and the energy to engage in relational ministry.
- Skills in small event planning.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational approach to ministry.
