    About the role#

    As a Supplier Industrialization Engineering Intern, you will focus on improving manufacturing operations and quality at critical Zipline suppliers. You will work with cross-functional teams on design for manufacturing, process implementation, and root cause analysis. Your goal is to ensure suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in DfX discussions with stakeholders to optimize designs for assembly and efficiency.
    • Assist with the planning and validation of assembly lines for product builds and mass production.
    • Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flows, FMEAs, and control plans.
    • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers against production standards.
    • Monitor and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like first-pass yield and on-time delivery.

    What you'll need#

    • Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, or Mathematics.
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a preference for NX.
    • Understanding of traditional and non-traditional manufacturing processes.
    • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and problem-solving frameworks.
    • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • This is a full-time, on-site internship based in South San Francisco, California.
    • The term for this role is Summer 2026.
    • This position is paid.
