    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will support our manufacturing operations in Columbia, Missouri. You will work alongside experienced engineers to optimize production processes, improve product quality, and maintain equipment reliability. This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in analyzing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
    • Collect and analyze production data, including throughput, cycle time, and yield metrics.
    • Conduct root cause analysis on product defects and help develop corrective actions.
    • Participate in continuous improvement projects, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen events.
    • Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure consistent performance.
    • Document processes and prepare reports or presentations for project stakeholders.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with data analysis tools.
    • Prior internship or coursework experience in manufacturing or engineering is preferred.

    • This position is based on-site in Columbia, Missouri.
    • This role is full-time.
