About the role#
Abbott is offering a Winter 2027 Engineering Co-Op program. This is a full-time, paid position designed for students to gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects. The program lasts 6 to 8 months and requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Participate in a 6 to 8 month co-op program.
- Engage in projects that vary depending on your assigned team and function.
- Apply your technical skills to real-world tasks within Abbott divisions such as Structural Heart, Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, Heart Failure, or Diagnostics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering program.
- Majors accepted include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week on-site for the duration of the program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to learn quickly and work independently.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in St. Paul, Minnesota; Plymouth, Minnesota; Sylmar, California; Pleasanton, California; or Irving, Texas.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
