About the role#
Ag Leader Technology is hiring an Ag/Mechanical Design/Test Intern to join the mechanical design team in Ames, Iowa. This is a full-time, paid internship covering the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. You will work on-site to help develop systems that interface with agricultural equipment.
What you'll do#
- Create and develop parts to adapt products to existing agricultural equipment.
- Design mechanical interfaces for sensing, measuring, and recording products.
- Produce parts and generate production drawings using CAD software.
- Troubleshoot electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Develop and evaluate field and lab tests to ensure products meet engineering goals.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to apply analytical and creative thinking to solve problems.
- A desire for continuous learning.
- An agricultural background is a plus.
