About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern at Albertsons Companies, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. This is a paid, full-time position with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Offer advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives to help improve pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by New Mexico regulations.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedule specifications.
- Strong cooperation skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
