About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will support our pharmacy operations while gaining hands-on experience in a retail environment. This role focuses on supporting the pharmacist, ensuring department standards are met, and providing a positive experience for our customers. You will work on-site in a full-time capacity.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with daily tasks, excluding those requiring professional judgment.
- Perform essential functions of a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
- Accurately enter patient information and conduct post-fill audits.
- Support Medication Therapy Management services and company health initiatives.
- Provide training support for pharmacy associates and lead shift workflows.
- Act as a safety subject matter expert, reinforcing sanitation and safety regulations.
- Handle electronic transactions, including credit, debit, EBT, and gift cards.
- Serve as an alternative representative for store-wide meetings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of retail experience.
- Current national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- Ability to obtain or maintain immunization certification.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA regulations and company cash handling policies.
