About the role#
This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience in construction project engineering. You will work alongside project managers and senior staff to support capital projects. The program runs from January 11 to April 23, 2027. You will gain exposure to project lifecycles, professional development, and department operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential daily functions and pre-remodel checklists.
- Support the contractor bid process and attend weekly project meetings.
- Track equipment orders and coordinate delivery schedules.
- Manage store fixture installations.
- Inspect projects for quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Review architecture, electrical, and mechanical plans.
- Complete estimates and manage minor capital projects independently.
- Prepare a cumulative project summary to present to the management team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Prior experience working in a construction environment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret information to meet business needs.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Motivation to take initiative on assigned tasks.
- Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
