About the role#
Kroger is hiring a Pharmacy Intern to support our pharmacy team in Lafayette, Indiana. This role is a full-time, paid position for students currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school program. You will work on-site to gain practical experience while assisting our pharmacists with daily operations and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacist with all tasks that do not require professional pharmacist judgment.
- Perform the essential functions and tasks of a Pharmacy Certified Technician.
- Enter patient information into the computer system with accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct post fill audits and support the delivery of Medication Therapy Management services.
- Provide daily training support for pharmacy associates and assist new technicians through their training program.
- Support pharmacy workflow, delegate station rotations, and help resolve operational issues.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, safety procedures, and local, state, and federal health codes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience.
- Completion of national or state intern registration, certification, or licensure.
- Certified or the ability to become certified in immunizations.
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
