About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in construction project engineering. You will work under the guidance of project managers and construction managers to support capital projects. You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of construction tasks, from planning and bidding to final project closeout.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers with essential job functions, including pre-remodel checklists and fixture drawings.
- Help manage the contractor bid process and review proposed change orders.
- Coordinate the preparation, ordering, and delivery of equipment to meet construction schedules.
- Inspect capital projects to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.
- Participate in department meetings and team huddles.
- Manage minor capital projects and complete cost estimates.
- Prepare a cumulative project summarizing your internship work to present to the executive team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior experience in a construction environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivation to take initiative on assigned tasks.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
