About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program based in Jefferson, Georgia. You will gain hands-on experience working with district managers to run multi-million dollar retail businesses. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. Successful completion of the program may lead to full-time employment opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Shadow a store manager or manager trainee to learn the fundamentals of store operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as payroll, invoices, memo verification, and sales books.
- Support the hiring process by participating in interviews and orientations.
- Conduct customer walks and store tours to learn about the Customer Satisfaction Pyramid.
- Assist with inventory management and participate in store resets or grand openings.
- Create a presentation and report on an operational area to share with company executives.
- Take initiative to improve store conditions, stock efficiency, and associate performance.
- Attend team meetings and department trainings.
- Demonstrate company competencies and professional skills while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Capability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
- Skill in building rapport, trust, and open communication with others.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a group.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under strict deadlines.
