About the role#
This is a full-time, 10-week internship program based in Moreno Valley, California. The role is paid at $28.00 per hour with eligibility for overtime. You will work 40 hours per week in an on-site warehouse environment. Successful completion of this program may lead to full-time opportunities upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Learn warehouse operations by collaborating with staff and gaining an understanding of company policies.
- Assist leadership with administrative tasks, training, and interview events.
- Support the Inventory Control Team and participate in Waste Walks and Seven Step Problem Solving.
- Take initiative to improve warehouse associate performance and the overall working environment.
- Work with team members to build subject matter knowledge.
- Prepare a formal report and presentation on a specific area of warehouse operations for ALDI executives.
- Maintain professionalism by meeting objectives on time and attending required meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare written materials for specific audiences.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a group and build positive relationships with internal and external parties.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Initiative, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Capability to interpret and apply company policies.
Location & details#
- Location: Moreno Valley, California.
- Physical requirements: You must be able to stand continuously and frequently sit, bend, reach, grip, push, pull, lift, and walk throughout the warehouse. The role requires lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds. You will frequently work in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, refrigerator, and freezer environments.
- Minimal travel may be required for training or project work.
