About the role#
The Inventory Planning Internship prepares you to act as a financial lead for product and assortment choices. You will explore various functions within the department and learn how the company makes business decisions. You will work with your team to monitor inventory levels in stores and distribution centers, ensuring the right amount of product reaches the right locations to maximize profitability.
What you'll do#
- Analyze size selling and buying processes to support business strategies.
- Build and use reports to apply key metrics, analyze data, and provide insights.
- Use various tools to gain visibility into inventory ownership and distribution flows.
- Present milestone projects and a final project to Inventory Planning leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather a view of the business.
- Attend classes and team meetings to connect your work to real-world applications.
What you'll need#
- Rising Senior at a 4-year college or university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to pass an Advanced Retail Math Test during the interview process.
- Must be local to the AEO Home Office in Pittsburgh, PA.
