About the role#
This is a 10-to-12-week paid summer internship program based at the Cook Nuclear Power Plant. You will work on individual projects while collaborating with project teams and experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience in the electric utility industry.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with project teams on the planning, design, and execution of enterprise resource projects.
- Engage in design reviews, training sessions, and constructability assessments to support operational standards.
- Participate in field visits to operational facilities for inspections and testing.
- Assist in the development of databases, reports, cost estimates, and dashboards.
- Support documentation for operational performance and safety initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Completed at least your freshman year of college.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Housing: A $1,500 monthly stipend is available for those relocating more than 45 miles from their home address.
