About the role#
The Tax team manages all areas of tax compliance for American Tower. As a Tax Intern, you will support monthly and quarterly deliverables. You will work closely with the Tax department, as well as the Accounting, Legal, and Human Resources teams. This role requires clear communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow through on tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with tax provision preparation.
- Support tax compliance efforts.
- Help with acquisition due diligence.
- Assist with forecasting and projections.
- Support monthly and quarterly REIT testing.
- Help manage Federal and State tax notices.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a Master’s degree in Tax.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using online tax research tools like the BNA Tax Management Portfolio Library and CCH Tax Research Network.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- High energy and a consistent positive attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work with various functional groups and employees at different levels.
