About the role#
As an Actuarial Intern, you will work directly with actuaries on projects that support product development, valuation, finance, and risk management. You will also complete a self-directed, business-driven project to present to senior leaders.
What you'll do#
- Build validation tools to ensure the accuracy of actuarial models.
- Enhance existing processes using tools like Python, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Analyze results and trends following regulatory or product changes.
- Collaborate with team members across the finance department.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior status at a 4-year university pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- At least one passed actuarial exam.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High degree of self-motivation, integrity, and ethics.
- Valid work authorization in the United States without the need for future visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- The role operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring at least four days per week in the office.
- Applications are assessed on a rolling basis.
