About the role#
The Materials Intern supports the Materials and Supply Chain team in maintaining efficient material flow throughout the facility. This role involves hands-on experience with inventory management, logistics, and production support. You will track materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and identify opportunities to improve space utilization and operational efficiency. You will also gain experience with ERP and warehouse management systems while working with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Receive and process incoming materials.
- Utilize scan guns to track and manage material movements.
- Process material transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
- Monitor material flow throughout the facility and identify packing discrepancies.
- Input material flow data for parts into Excel spreadsheets.
- Perform audits and cycle counts.
- Identify and communicate space constraint issues.
- Support launch builds, MGO, and AMTS activities.
- Track and communicate the status of assigned tasks and projects.
- Assist with inventory management and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college as at least a fourth-year student.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Pursuing a bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
